Life of a Job 1

Following my original customer visit, I will have produced and supplied a comprehensive estimate. This is so that when you are ready to proceed I have all the information I need to ensure all parts are ordered 3 weeks before I am due to start the job. This way I can ensure all the parts I need are ready, and avoid any delays during the job.

THE FIRST DAY
I always arrange to have a skip on site in time for the first day, as the very first stage is to strip everything out of the room – and I do mean EVERYTHING!

I don’t like to connect up to existing pipe work in the room as experience has taught me it is bound to be wrong. So the first stage on a new job is to remove everything from the room to get back to the bare walls and floor.

If plaster on the walls and/or ceiling is loose, or in poor condition this will be removed too. By the end of the first day the aim is for the room to be completely empty.

THE SECOND DAY
At the end of this day it might look like nothing has been done – until you look under the floorboards that is!

Day two is the day I plan out the exact positioning of the suite, and start to adjust pipe work to suit. It is very important to get the foundations right.
