Life of a Job 4

THE DAYS THAT FOLLOW…
On the days that follow I will layout and start to fit the shower tray, bath, partitions or any boxing in of pipe work. This leads on to fitting any furniture, and tiling as required.

For those that might be on a tighter budget it is often cheaper to re-plaster a wall and paint it, than it is to tile over existing walls. Saving the cost of the tiles and the time required to fit them can free up money for a more lavish suit, or perhaps granite bath surrounds, or counter top.

I will have discussed the options during my original site visit, as I aim to always give my customers any advise they need so they achieve the right balance between quality and cost.

As the job progresses it is time to fit the toilet, shower cubicle, basin and plumb in the taps and shower. At the end of every day I always clear away ready to start afresh tomorrow.

I bring a flask of coffee with me every day as I like to minimise any disruption to my customers – I also don’t have a radio blaring as I prefer to work in peace and quiet. I’m told this is quite unusual! – But it is how I concentrate on the job at hand.
